"The MHA Residency program allowed me to experience and understand the inner workings of healthcare. During my residency at Michael Garron Hospital in Toronto, I had opportunities to observe a robot assisted surgery, to participate in an offsite Board retreat for strategic planning, and to sit on a meeting chaired by the Minister of health. Through my residency, I gained invaluable experiences that helped me understand the perspectives of different actors in the healthcare system. My residency also allowed me to observe firsthand the strengths of a high performing leadership team, their role in shaping the culture of the organization and the impacts of their decisions on patient care."
