Learning engineering management at uOttawa was a very interesting and valuable experience for me as I got the opportunity to share the classroom with people from diverse backgrounds and engineering domains. The course content is very detailed and covers a range of topics which are very relevant in the engineering world. The assignments and projects are structured such that there is vast peer to peer learning and the focus is on practical real-life situations.
The professors are top-notch, highly knowledgeable and supportive. The courses like Creativity and innovation and Introduction to Engineering Management enhanced my critical thinking skills and gave a peek into the engineering sales domain. The management courses like Organizational Behavior and HR Management and Strategic Marketing Management added layers to my management skills to help me grow in confidence in tackling complex problems not only on the engineering side but also on the management front. These essential skills have helped me grow and thrive amongst the highly competitive and skilled Canadian workforce.
